Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs all subscriptions and services purchased from Mind Money Movement (Pty) Ltd (trading as PeakRank Digital, “we”, “us”, or “our”) via peakrank.co.za. By subscribing to our platform or engaging our agency services, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

We are committed to transparency. If you are ever unsatisfied with our service, please contact us before initiating a dispute — we will always try to resolve issues directly first.

2. Free Trial

All SaaS subscription plans include a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial is structured as follows:

  • Days 1–4 (Full Trial): Complete access to all features on your selected plan.
  • Days 5–7 (Degraded Trial): Read-only dashboard, reports, and reduced crawl frequency. Full access resumes upon upgrade.
  • Day 8: Trial expires. A subscription is required to continue using the platform.

No charges are applied during the free trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial without incurring any fees.

3. SaaS Subscription Refunds

3.1 Monthly Plans

If you are on a monthly subscription and wish to request a refund, you must do so within 7 calendar days of your most recent billing date. Requests submitted after 7 days will not be eligible for a refund for the current billing cycle, as the service has already been rendered for that period.

3.2 Annual Plans

If you are on an annual subscription and cancel within 30 calendar days of the annual billing date, you are eligible for a prorated refund for the unused portion of your subscription (the number of full months remaining). Cancellations requested after 30 days are not eligible for a refund on the annual fee already paid.

3.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Refund Request”, including your registered email address and reason for the request. We will respond within 2 business days.

3.4 Non-Refundable Items

  • Add-on domain purchases for the current billing cycle.
  • API usage that has already been consumed.
  • Any plan already discounted through a promotional offer.
  • White-label or custom enterprise setup fees.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

4.1 What Happens After Cancellation

  • Your account immediately moves to "Expiring" status — you retain full access until the billing period ends.
  • After the billing period, your account becomes read-only. Crawling stops and report exports are disabled.
  • Your data is retained for 90 days in a cancelled state. You may reactivate at any time during this window.
  • After 90 days of inactivity, your data is archived to cold storage. Reactivation after this point may require re-seeding data.

4.2 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will retry automatically up to 3 times over 7 days. During this “Past Due” grace period, your account remains fully active. If payment is not recovered after 3 attempts and 72 hours from the final retry, your subscription will be cancelled automatically.

5. Agency Services

Agency retainer packages (SME Academy and Professional tiers) are billed monthly. The following terms apply:

  • Cancellation requires 30 days written notice via email to [email protected].
  • The 30-day notice period begins from the date we acknowledge receipt of your cancellation request.
  • No refunds are issued for agency service months already delivered.
  • Campaign assets, reports, and data created during the engagement remain your property and will be transferred upon request within 14 days of the final month.
  • Setup fees (if applicable) are non-refundable once onboarding has begun.

6. Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, we encourage you to reach out to us directly before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly.

Step 1 — Contact Support: Email [email protected] with a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 24 business hours.

Step 2 — Escalation: If the matter is not resolved within 5 business days, you may request escalation to our management team.

Step 3 — Formal Dispute: If we are unable to reach a resolution, the matter will be handled in accordance with South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act 68 of 2008) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (Act 25 of 2002).

Mind Money Movement (Pty) Ltd accepts full responsibility for the services described on this platform and does not hold our payment processors liable for service disputes.

7. Data & Privacy Upon Cancellation

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. Upon cancellation, you may submit a data deletion request to [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 business days.

Campaign performance data, citations, and crawl results associated with your domains may be retained in anonymised form for aggregate benchmarking unless you explicitly request full deletion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to all active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
